This months feature is on Gosia.  Gosia is PA to our founder James and also supports internal tasks as a marketing assistant.

Let’s Begin…..

Tell me a little about your background prior to joining the company? Education, jobs, life experiences etc

English language and literature have always been my favourite subject, that’s why I decided to study journalism with marketing at Ulster University in Coleraine. During these 3 years of studying, I have been living in Portrush and working at a local restaurant whilst also completing my internship for the event company.

After graduating with a 2:1 bachelor’s degree, I have moved back to Belfast and undertook a job as a supervisor in a coffee shop to gain a little bit more experience within the management. Shortly after, I have discovered that Vindicta Digital were looking for a PA and I believed it fitted me perfectly.

What attracted you to joining Vindicta as a PA?

From the moment I read the job description for this position I was very excited about the company’s vision, and for this reason, am thrilled at the possibility of working with Vindicta.

My assets include the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, plan ahead and think creatively whilst paying great attention to detail, so that’s why I decided to apply for the role.

What do you hope to achieve with Vindicta?

I’m really driven to achieve both mine and Vindicta’s goals, and it is my belief that this mentality will allow me to do so as I grow within this role. I am very happy to be able to learn new skills and get involved in this amazing industry. I hope to gain even more experience, become more confident and put my already existing skills to work.

What is the biggest thing that you want to achieve in the next 5 years?

Five years down the road I see myself growing more and enhancing my skills even further while gaining more experience.

While my main focus moving forward will be on the position we are discussing today, I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to progress and take on more and be a part of new and exciting projects, whilst also growing and learning more in the future within Vindicta.

What do you see are the key challenges for companies that do not have a strong digital presence?

We live in a society which is becoming increasingly reliant on technology, which means businesses doing it ‘ old school ‘ could well be missing out on spreading the word about their products, winning new customers and improving the bottom line.

I strongly believe that digital marketing is a key component in improving your business window online and winning over the competition as without it you can easily lose relevance.

Embracing the internet means also adapting & adopting changes. Majority of businesses don’t put their full focus on “being online” and enchanting their business for online users. At Vindicta, we are specialising in helping businesses grow and be seen through our incredible SEO and paid ads on social media and google etc.

Who do you look up to and why? Can be business or not business-related

Business Wise:

Anna Wintour – editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine and artistic director of the Conde Nast publications. I remember getting my hands on my very first Vogue Magazine back where I was still at school and I haven’t missed a single issue ever since. It’s something about fashion photography, advertising and journalism all mixed together in a beautiful aesthetic of a modern magazine. Anna is also widely recognised for her confidence, work ethic and strong opinion from which a lot of women can learn.

Life wise:

Would definitely have to be my mum. She has always pushed me towards being the best version of myself whether at school/work or life. When I was little, she was always putting me up for extra activities like swimming, language lessons or dance classes. I believe this made me the person that I am today.

Through this, I learned discipline, work ethic, multi-tasking and managing my time whilst being the most effective.

When not working how do you spend your time?

Let’s start by saying that I very rarely just“ don’t work”.

Even when having days off, I’m always on the go and spending them very active while trying to squeeze in as much as I can from my day. This could be extra work, driving lessons, going to the gym classes or meeting up with friends and family. I just enjoy being busy.

Another big passion of mine is travelling and photography I travel as much time and work lets me. I usually try and book a few city breaks or holidays to the places that I haven’t been yet. I love learning about different cultures and places. When on holidays, you will never see me by the pool or the beach. I’m always planning different activities, visits to new places and trying out local foods whilst creating new memories!
